Mini Ball Transfer UnitsMini Ball Transfer Units

Type 2 Euro Ball Transfer UnitAlwayse Engineering Ltd have been established since 1939 are the originators of the ball transfer unit. The company has an extensive range of over 150 different units with over 5000 specifications. Ball diameters range from 12.7mm up 90mm and load ratings from 12kgs to 4000kgs per unit. Alwayse currently export in excess of 60% of production world-wide.

A new addition to the Euro Unit range is the new type 2, with its special feature, an integral fixing clip. The unit still has all the attributes of the existing 22mm Euro Unit with a load rating of 160kgs per ball and available with Carbon Steel Stainless Steel and Nylon load balls. Housing material includes Mild Steel Zinc Plated, and Stainless Steel 304. This unit will also be available soon in the 5215, 530 and 545 euro units.

The self-contained spring clip is manufactured from carbon spring steel and is zinc plated. It has 3 fixing prongs to give a secure fit when located into a location hole. The purpose of the clip is to enable easy fixing into a plate. For a snap fit, material of up to 3mm thickness can be used but thicker material can be used for an interference fit. This unit creates a situation where there is no need for any fasteners, loose clips or fixing holes taking out the labour intensity making the fitting of the units much quicker.

Ball Transfer Units for the Air Cargo IndustryAlwayse Engineering have designed and manufactured a new ball transfer unit for the Air Cargo Industry. It is based on our highly successful 32mm diameter flange fixing unit. It is manufactured from 100% stainless steel material and is available with 2 or 3 fixing holes.

The major ball has a diameter of 32mm and can take a load of up to 125 kg per unit. As with all our Air Cargo Handling units it is assembled with 'no oil no seal'. This enables easy maintenance and has a lot less friction than a standard flange fixing unit. This unit is a new development, incorporating a multi hole drainage system, which is formed in the base of the shell. The reason for this is that it allows up to 6 times the amount of dirt and debris to escape. The part number for this unit is 3274 - 2 -15 for 2 fixing holes and 3274 - 3 - 15.
