Machinery Design & OEM with Ball Transfer Units
An indispensable component for design engineers, Alwayse Ball Transfer Units are popular where loads and moving machinery parts require instant 3600 direction changes and zero offset.
With the world’s widest range, plus bespoke design capability, Alwayse are the experts in providing ball units to meet the most demanding requirements.
Precise movement and small linear motions (Mini Units)
With load balls from 4.8mm to 15.8mm diameter, Mini Units are ideal for accurate positioning and use in compact spaces. Applications include:
- Miniature mechanisms e.g. photocopier paper drawers
- Medical scanners
- Robotics & Mechatronics
- Measuring equipment
- Optical & laser technologies
- Glass processing – arris edging
- Guides for small linear motions
- Light-weight coil holders
Extreme temperatures (Hi-Tech Double Seal Units and Euro Units)
Units are available to withstand temperatures from -30o C to +200o C. Hi-Tech Double Seal Units are also resistant to organic solvents, petrol and oil, and can be used with the ball facing down without loss of performance.
Machinery with low metal content (Units with Nylon load ball and/or unit body)
Type 14 units with Nylon load ball are perfect for reduced metal applications such as medical imaging scanners. Phenolic load balls or Nylon body units are also available – enquire for more details.
Shock Loading (Spring Loaded Units)
Used to cushion shock loading and absorb vibration, these units are suitable for a wide range of machinery including guillotines, presses, moulding machines, tool bases, and press brakes. Spring Loaded Units are also ideal when an item needs to be moved and then clamped in place.
Heavy Loads (various unit types)
With load capacities up to 10 tonnes per ball unit, the range of Hevi-Load, Heavy Duty and Tuff Series Units are ideal to meet heavy loading requirements. Examples of applications include drilling systems, cable laying, and aerospace structural assembly equipment.
In-Feed / Out-Feed (various unit types)
Depending on loading and fixing requirements, a range of different ball units can be used for in-feed and out-feed platforms. Typical applications include laser cutting machines and glass processing.
